    Kapaun Mt. Carmel Head Football Coach
    Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School is a (5A) coed Diocesan Catholic school located in Wichita Kansas and is a member of the Greater Wichita Athletic League. We are currently seeking to fill the role of Head Football Coach. The primary role of the Head Football Coach at KMC is coordination & preparation of our football team to compete at the highest levels in both league and state competitions. This duty will be carried out through the development of relationships and a training program that prepares students athletes for the skills and rigors of the game. The successful candidate will excel at developing young men who can exhibit the key elements of the sport and the Catholic Church: teamwork, cooperation, self- sacrifice, hard work, determination, and delayed gratification.
    Duties:
    • Development and management of competitive football program at a school with a legacy of football success and pride.
    • Total football program development, including:
    o development of comprehensive off-season and in-season training programs for athletes;
    o “total person” focused development of athletes; focusing on physical, mental, spiritual and social development;
    o hiring, development, evaluation, and retention of assistant coaches;
    o staying abreast of current trends, training and playing techniques in the sport of football at the high school level;
    o maintenance of accurate records of athletes, season results, and inventories of uniforms and equipment; and
    o Communication with administration, faculty, parents, and the overall community regarding the virtues, progress, and goals of the KMC football program.
    • Cooperation with school administration regarding student athletes’ academic and behavioral performance, consistent with norms and expectations of Kapaun Mt. Carmel.
    Requirements:
    ● Practicing Catholic in good standing and an active steward in one’s parish required
    ● Knowledgeable of the rules, skills and trends related to high school football.
    ● Knowledge of an incorporation of injury prevention training and skill development techniques and cooperation with athletic training staff in the prevention and treatment of injuries.
    ● Excellent oral, written and presentation skills to develop an attractive program that incorporates football players from 3rd- 12th grade.
    ● Skilled decision-maker, with transparency in decision-making and management
