Outreach - Middle School and High School

Free Professional Development Opportunity for Kansas Athletic Administrators

The KIAAA, in conjunction with the NIAAA, offers an opportunity for Middle School and High School AD's to take three  Leadership Training courses for free. After completing the three Leadership Training courses, you will be eligible for certification as a Registered Athletic Administrator through the NIAAA. All classes are accredited through COGNIA, and the US Commission on Certification recognizes the RMSAA certification.  Those participating in this outreach program will also receive one year of free membership in the NIAAA and KIAAA.

The Leadership Training Institute is a professional development program developed by Athletic Administrators for Athletic Administrators. The LTI program is accredited by COGNIA, and several universities use LTI materials at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Leadership Training and Certification are two vehicles the NIAAA has developed for preparing athletic administrators to professionally meet the challenges of athletic administration at the local level. Leadership training aims to present best practices in use today that will better prepare the athletic administrator to offer quality programs and participation opportunities for students. Certification allows athletic administrators to continue a nationally recognized program of professional and personal growth and development.

You qualify for this Outreach program if your job duties include responsibilities related to the administration of your school's Middle School or High School activities program. You do not need to be a full-time athletic administrator. You cannot have taken LTC classes before attending this

Outreach Program.
Participation in the outreach includes three LTC classes for free, plus one year of free membership in both the NIAAA and KIAAA. Combined, this is a $450 plus benefit. For every ten participants, there is a chance to win a scholarship to the national NADC conference in December.  Those who complete the three LTC classes are eligible to apply for RMSAA or RAA certification through the NIAAA. The CMSAA is a nationally recognized certification.
